The Wolfman – Are Box Office Sales Going To Howl?

The wolfman looms as the wolfbane blooms..

My second movie featurette today has arrived, and it is that of ‘The Wolfman.‘ A Joe Johnston (Not sure who this is? The art director of Star Wars IV, V, VI, Jumanji, Jurassic Park III, The First Avenger: Captain America ) take of the 1941 classic horror movie. Now the release date of the movie has been rather uncertain due to possible development errors, however the date is set for a February 12th, 2010 release. Now everyone knows wolves and vampires are enemies (take twilight for example) so this is my opposing article to August 25th, when I wrote my Daybreakers article. I wouldn’t usually enjoy a film like this, but these days it all seems dependant on the cast.

Speaking of casts, this film has one heck of one. With Benicio del Toro (Sin City, The Usual Suspects, Snatch), Sir Anthony Hopkins (Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, Fracture), Emily Blunt (Dan In Real Life, Sunshine Cleaning, The Devil Wears Prada) and Hugo Weaving (Lord Of The Rings trilogy, The Matrix trilogy, V For Vendetta), it’s sure to be a rather interesting mix, especially with the $85 million budget they had to use. You may be wondering ‘Why haven’t I seen the trailer for this?’ and the answer would be… The first Wolfman trailer to hit screens around the world was attached to Inglourious Basterds on August 21st, 09. So it is considerably new. But you and you and you alike, get the pleasure of watching the trailer that I bring to you now. Do enjoy.

  1. dude, Joe Johnson did not direct any star wars films, I think you’ll probably find that was George Lucas
